One in nine women worldwide have experienced violence from men in the last 12 months and one in three women have been subject to physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. The report recommended solutions to improving coverage of violence against women and girls, including putting female journalists and editors in charge of shaping coverage, and victims and survivors of violence at the heart of the story.

Witold Banka, the head of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), has emphasized that India's massive production of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) is a significant challenge in the fight against doping. West Bengal’s electoral rolls have been slashed by over nine million names, representing roughly 12 % of the state’s 76 million registered voters, after the Election Commission of India (ECI) completed its Special Intensive Revision (SIR) earlier this month. An investigation by Philip Kolvin KC, a planning lawyer, found that the letters were likely written using AI and that the people who had apparently written the complaints did not appear to exist.Police traced the IP addresses linked to two of the letters to d’Aponte. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £26 victim surcharge. The use of AI to generate false statements is a growing issue, according to Metropolitan police.The case highlights the potential for AI to be misused in making false statements, and the importance of verifying the authenticity of complaints.
