A remarkable discovery has been made in the world of music memorabilia. A torn page of lined paper bearing a draft of Bob Dylan's lyrics for 'I'm Not There' has been found tucked inside a first-edition paperback of Allen Ginsberg's 'Ankor Wat'. This extremely rare document is a significant find for Dylan collectors and fans. The draft lyrics were written almost 60 years ago, during the summer of 1967 in New York, when Dylan and his backing group The Band were prolific in their songwriting. 'I'm Not There' is considered one of Dylan's greatest songs and was finally released as part of the soundtrack for the 2007 film of the same name. The book in which the lyrics were discovered was owned by Sally Grossman, the wife of Dylan's first manager Albert Grossman and a close friend of the singer. It was gifted to her by Ginsberg himself in 1969 and remained in her estate until her death in 2021. The auction for the lyrics is set to take place in April, with an estimated value of £20,000-£40,000 (approximately $26,400-$52,800). This find is a significant addition to the world of music memorabilia, highlighting the enduring legacy of Bob Dylan and Allen Ginsberg.

France Dominates Colombia 3-1 in World Cup Warm-Up Match

France secured a 3-1 victory over Colombia in a friendly match, showcasing their attacking prowess …
France concluded their World Cup preparations with a convincing 3-1 friendly win over Colombia, highlighting their attacking firepower and squad depth. The match, played at the Washington Commanders' home stadium in Landover, Maryland, served as a crucial test for coach Didier Deschamps ahead of naming his World Cup squad in May.Desire Doue opened the scoring for France with a low drive that was deflected in by Colombia's Daniel Munoz after 30 minutes. Doue struck again on 56 minutes, assisted by Marcus Thuram, who had also scored earlier just before halftime. Thuram's goal came from a cross by Maghnes Akliouche.Colombia's Jaminton Campaz pulled a goal back, but France's dominance was evident as they controlled the game. Kylian Mbappe, a late substitute, was rested for much of the game due to a recent knee injury. Mbappe remains one goal shy of equalling France's all-time scoring record of 57 goals, currently held by Olivier Giroud.France's performance in this and the previous match against Brazil has shown a balance of style and efficiency, boosting their confidence ahead of the World Cup. Deschamps' team appears to be heading into the tournament with growing certainty.

The Limits of Apple's 'Hide My Email' in the Face of Law Enforcement

Apple has revealed that its 'Hide My Email' privacy feature does not shield user identities from fe…
The Erosion of Digital Anonymity Apple's 'Hide My Email' feature, designed to shield user identities from apps and websites, has been exposed as ineffective against federal subpoenas. The company recently revealed it provided real names and email addresses to the FBI and ICE, undermining the feature's promise of anonymity for paying iCloud+ subscribers. This disclosure highlights a critical vulnerability in the privacy architecture of major tech platforms, where 'anonymity' often depends on the willingness of the provider to withhold data. The 'Hide My Email' Loophole The feature allows iCloud+ subscribers to generate anonymous email aliases that forward messages to their private inbox. While Apple claims it does not read the content of these forwarded messages, the legal mechanism allows authorities to bypass the alias entirely. In a recent affidavit, the FBI revealed that Apple provided the real identity behind an anonymized address used in a threat investigation against Kash Patel's girlfriend. Similarly, ICE agents obtained records linking multiple anonymized accounts to a specific individual involved in an alleged identity fraud scheme. Metadata vs. Content The data shared with law enforcement goes beyond simple forwarding logs; Apple provided the account holder's full name, email address, and billing information. In one instance, Apple disclosed records for 134 anonymized email accounts created via the feature. This indicates that while the content of emails remains private, the ownership of the account is easily accessible to authorities with a valid legal request. The distinction between encrypted content and unencrypted metadata is becoming the primary battleground for digital privacy. End-to-End Encryption Limits This incident underscores a critical distinction in modern cybersecurity: the difference between end-to-end encryption (E2EE) and account metadata. Apple touts its services as E2EE, meaning only the user can access their data. However, this protection does not extend to the account registration details, billing history, and unencrypted routing information that Apple stores. As a result, the demand for alternative privacy tools like Signal, which offer stronger protections against metadata collection, is likely to increase among privacy-conscious users. The Future of Privacy vs. Security As law enforcement agencies increasingly rely on metadata to solve crimes, tech companies will face mounting pressure to balance user privacy with national security obligations. We can expect a rise in legal battles regarding the scope of 'anonymized' services and a potential shift in consumer behavior, where users seek out services that offer true anonymity rather than just obfuscation.

Mohamed Salah's Potential MLS Move Warned Against by Egypt Team Director

Egypt's national team director, Ibrahim Hassan, has cautioned Mohamed Salah against moving to Major…
Egypt's national team director, Ibrahim Hassan, has issued a warning to Mohamed Salah against making a move to Major League Soccer (MLS) when he departs Liverpool at the end of the season. Salah has been with Liverpool for nine successful years, during which he won two Premier League titles and the Champions League.Hassan expressed his preference for Salah to stay in Europe, mentioning potential offers from top clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and Italian league clubs. He believes a move to MLS would put Salah out of the spotlight, drawing a comparison with Lionel Messi, who joined Inter Miami in 2023.“I would prefer him to stay in Europe,” Hassan told On Sport. “I have heard about offers from Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and clubs in the Italian league. A move to MLS? He would be far too out of the spotlight. You won’t remember Salah any more than I remember [Lionel] Messi now; I don’t even try to watch him.”As an alternative, Hassan suggested that the Saudi Pro League could be a suitable option for Salah if he chooses not to stay in Europe, citing the presence of big names like Cristiano Ronaldo.Salah is currently sidelined by injury and away from Egypt's training camp as they prepare for the World Cup in North America. Egypt face Spain in a friendly in Barcelona on Tuesday after a 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia in Jeddah on Friday. The seven-times African champions are in Group G with Belgium, New Zealand and Iran at the World Cup.

UConn's shock win over No 1 seed Duke on Sunday night to advance to the Final Four connected two disparate eras of college basketball. The game produced one of the greatest endings in NCAA Tournament history, with freshman Braylon Mullins's three-point heave from well beyond the arc sealing the 73-72 victory. The final 10 seconds of Sunday night's game evoked some of the greatest endings in tournament history, with Mullins and Silas Demary Jr's swarming of Cayden Boozer conjuring memories of UCLA's stunning 2006 comeback against Gonzaga and Villanova's 2016 national title win.UConn coach Dan Hurley praised his team's resilience, saying, 'We fought, we clawed, put ourselves in position to take advantage of a mistake that they made.' Mullins's game-winning shot will forever torment Duke fans, as the Blue Devils had led by 19 points in the first-half and No 1 seeds had been 134-0 when leading by 15 or more points in NCAA Tournament history. The win proved that recruiting and continuity still dictate success in college basketball, with UConn's senior Tarris Reed Jr. named the game's Most Outstanding Player after finishing with 26 points, nine rebounds, four blocks, and two steals. Reed's performance reminded fans of the era of dominant post players like Patrick Ewing and Dwight Howard.UConn's victory, coupled with their previous wins over Michigan State and St John's, showed that traditional powers can still thrive in an era of unlimited transfers and Name, Image and Likeness deals. Hurley's adaptability and UConn's roster, which included transfers Malachi Smith and Silas Demary Jr, demonstrated that an old-school approach can still yield success in modern college basketball.

The 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games have announced that 1 million tickets will be available for $28, with a presale for residents in qualifying areas of Los Angeles and Oklahoma City beginning on April 2. General public ticket sales will start on April 9. According to LA28, roughly 5% of the Olympic tickets will cost over $1,000, while more than 75% of all tickets, including finals, will be under $400 and nearly 50% of all tickets will be under $200. This pricing strategy aims to make the event more accessible to a wider audience. “Tickets are comparable to and in many cases well under what we see for other professional sporting and major entertainment events in the US,” said Allison Katz-Mayfield, LA28’s senior vice-president of Games delivery revenue. This statement highlights the organizers' effort to balance revenue goals with fan affordability. To address ticket security concerns, LA28 has named a group of verified resale platforms, including AXS, Eventim, Ticketmaster, and Sports Illustrated Tickets. The verified multi-platform resale programme will open in 2027, providing fans with multiple points of access to verified tickets. The announcement comes as organisers prepare for the first ticket drop and seek to warn fans against buying from unauthorised sellers. LA28 emphasized that primary tickets will only be sold through its official ticket service providers, AXS and Eventim.

Gary Woodland Triumphs at Houston Open After Overcoming Brain Surgery and PTSD

Gary Woodland wins the Houston Open, marking a significant comeback after brain surgery and struggl…
Gary Woodland has emerged victorious at the Houston Open, a triumph that seemed improbable just 30 months ago when he underwent brain surgery. His journey to this moment was further complicated by his recent struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Woodland's win, secured with a closing three-under 67, was a dominant performance that saw him finish five shots ahead of Nicolai Hojgaard. This victory is not only his fifth career win but also his first since the 2019 US Open at Pebble Beach, making it a significant milestone in his career. The emotional weight of Woodland's journey was palpable as he described the moment of victory. The gallery's chant of his name fell silent as he prepared to roll in the winning putt, a moment he described as 'a good day' after a long and challenging period. Woodland's struggles began in 2023 when he discovered a lesion on his brain that caused unfounded fears about his mortality. Surgery in September 2023 removed much of the lesion, but he continued to face challenges with PTSD. Just two weeks ago, he opened up about his struggles in a Golf Channel interview, sharing that he often felt like he was 'living a lie' and that he was 'dying' inside. His decision to go public with his struggles has had a profoundly positive impact, allowing him to feel '1,000lbs lighter'. Despite ongoing challenges, Woodland expressed hope and gratitude for the support of his loved ones, particularly his wife, Gabby Granado, who was instrumental in his recovery. This victory not only marks a personal triumph for Woodland but also a professional one, as it secures his eligibility for the Masters in two weeks and moves him up to No 51 in the world ranking, his highest in five years. The win also underscores his standing on the PGA Tour, with Hojgaard and Min Woo Lee choosing to let him have the moment to himself on the 18th green. Woodland's resilience and determination serve as a powerful reminder to anyone struggling with their own challenges, as he poignantly noted, 'We play an individual sport out here, but I wasn’t alone today.'
